Youths, know your purpose

THE EDITOR: Many of our young people seem to lack a sense of direction. Not having a sense of direction stems from not knowing one’s purpose in life. Purpose keeps you focused and ambitious.

A young man told me that his purpose is to survive. Believing that you are here on Earth just to survive can cause you to do anything necessary to survive, including a life of crime as we have seen with our youths.

God has given all of us a talent that we can use to bring solutions to the world and also to put food on our table.

That passion we have on the inside of us for a particular thing is purpose saying to us pursue me.

I want to encourage parents to always instil in their children that they are here for a purpose and not to make up numbers or just to survive.
