Good advice Mr Deyalsingh

THE EDITOR: I must congratulate the Minister of Health Mr Terrence Deyalsingh for his unwavering effort and commitment to our citizens in reminding them of their lifestyle choices and the possibility of getting certain ailments if not careful. I was delighted when he encouraged our children to “go outside and play,” something that is not seen as consistently as before. With the development of technology and all the other devices many of our youths and adults find themselves with some type of fast food or snack at home spending time on a chair etc. I am not saying that is wrong at all times but I believe that it should be done in moderation. We all need to balance this, because too much of one thing could bring about a negative if you are not careful.

As Minister Deyalsingh suggested, our children and others need to turn off the devices and find themselves out there in the sun. Yes, in the sun having a heck of a time. I want to encourage Minister Deyalsingh to continue along this path because there are great benefits to gain here. Because without good health, life can be very challenging. It is important that we implement simple things that cost us very little to stay healthy.
