Schoolgirl, 11, reports rape

AN 11-year-old girl was raped at her home in Tobago on Saturday night.

The girl told police she was in her bedroom at 10 pm when a man held her down and sexually assaulted her.

The girl told relatives afterward and they took her to the district police station and made a report.

WPC Mills took the child to a district medical officer and she was medically examined.

The girl later gave a statement to police and identified the man.
