333 people owe HDC

SOME 333 tenants in four Housing Development Corporation (HDC) developments are behind in their monthly payments to the HDC. Acting Housing Minister Colm Imbert made this statement in the Senate on Friday. Imbert said this figure included tenants in East Grove (56), Oasis (113), Eden Gardens (18) and Cashew Gardens (146). Imbert said the HDC is undertaking efforts to recover those arrears. Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat, later in the sitting, said only ten acres of a site proposed for housing construction is used for agriculture.
