Dominica fiasco reflects on PM

THE EDITOR: The Dominica fiasco report was presumably prepared by Minister of Foreign and Caricom Affairs Dennis Moses and submitted by him to the Prime Minister. The report reveals a serious level of incompetence in the ministry and if Moses is not deemed accountable for its incompetence, that’s another way of saying his presence there is irrelevant. Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley’s embrace of Dominica following Hurricane Maria was Trinidad’s message of love and hope for the people of Dominica, but Moses failed to transmit, or was incapable of transmitting, that message to his ministry’s staff. If Moses does not resign, or Rowley does not remove him, the Prime Minister must accept responsibility for Moses’ shortcomings as well as the Dominica fiasco. And the people of TT will pass judgment on Rowley’s competence.
