Winnie’s not guilty

THE EDITOR: It is ironic that Winnie Madikizela-Mandela was imprisoned for crimes which were allegedly committed by members of her football team, but none of the white security personnel who committed numerous crimes against black South Africans were ever imprisoned. There was a recent programme in which Madikizela-Mandela proved that she was not involved in the murders, and even members of the football team who are alleged to have committed the acts absolved her of any involvement.

It would be a good idea if the local television stations could obtain the programme so that TT nationals would have a balanced view of this issue.
