St Mary’s humiliate East Mucurapo in Schools basketball

ST MARY’S humiliated East Mucurapo 57-17 on Thursday, in a male Under-17 encounter of the Trinidad and Tobago Schools Basketball Association North Zone fixture, at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo.

Jacoba Benjamin led the scoring for the “Saints” with 28 points, while Evan Trim added 12 points and Luke Mobhair 10 points.

East Mucurapo’s scoring revolved around Roberto Palmer’s seven and Jahbarry James’ six.

Fatima got a game-high 17 points from Adrian Sangster as they eased past QRC 48-35. Adam Tang-Nian and Jahmai Smith chipped in with eight apiece for Fatima.

Shorn Solomon scored 11 and Antonio Ambris eight for QRC.

In the other male Under-17 match on Thursday, West Mucurapo brushed aside Success Laventille 38-19.

Jaheim Furlonge top-scored for West Mucurapo with 16 points while Ronaldo Riley contributed eight. Omari Luke netted seven for Success Laventille and Jabarry Elder six.
