Trinidadian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo became the first bowler to take 400 Twenty20 wickets today. Bravo, playing for Melbourne Renegades in the Australian Big Bash, grabbed a five-for to bowl the Renegades to victory against Hobart Hurricanes at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Bravo took five for 28 to limit the Hurricanes to 164 for eight off 20 overs. Renegades then romped to victory in 18.3 overs with seven wickets to spare.

Bravo, 34, has played 365 T20 matches and is known as one of the best T20 specialists in the world, competing in the Indian Premier League, Big Bash, Caribbean Premier League and South Africa Ram Slam, to name a few. He is quite capable with the bat but his bowling – particularly his slower deliveries – gaining him lucrative T20 contracts throughout the world.
