For the second time this month, police are investigating the murder of a transsexual woman. The deceased has been identified as Keil Lensay.

On December 5, Keon Alister Patterson, 28, also known as Sasha Fierce, was shot dead at the Nelson Mandela Park, St Clair.

Yesterday, Lensay’s body was found stuffed in a bag on the compound of the National Energy Skills Centre (NESC), in Debe. The bag was in a garbage bin. According to police, a sanitation worker went to the centre to collect garbage at about 5am and tried emptying the bin. He found that the bag was too heavy to lift. Upon checking, the man saw the body stuffed inside. The body bore several stab wounds.

Members of the Debe police post were called. Police said Lensay is from St John’s Road, St Augustine. A man who was at the NESC compound when the body was found, was taken into custody and up to yesterday was assisting police with their investigation.

Reporters were told yesterday by police, that based on preliminary enquiries, the killing appears to have stemmed from a relationship gone sour.
