An appeal to drivers

THE EDITOR: My congratulations and thanks to the Minister of Transport in changing the speed limit on the highways.

I do think that 120 kph is a more realistic limit, but we take what we can get.

I take the opportunity however to appeal to drivers, especially of commercial vehicles (which include the huge ones), to please “keep left unless overtaking.”

It’s no help having the speed limit of 100 kph if we have commercial vehicles trundling along in the right lane, doing the legal limit of 65 KPH, and everyone else stuck behind them.
