MURDERED MAN IDENTIFIED

The man shot dead on Nelson Street on Sunday afternoon has been identified as 59-year-old HDC contractor Wayne Alleyne.

Relatives who identified his body at the Forensic Science Centre in St James earlier today described him as a father figure not only to his children, but to the Nelson Street community where he lived.

Newsday was told that Alleyne was throwing away rubbish in an alley near his home when gunmen ran down the alley and sprayed bullets.
