The bp Marionettes continues its Christmas music tradition with I Dream a World at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s with performances by some 130 singers from the adult, youth, and children’s arms of the group.

The festive concert will include spirituals, gospel, musical theatre, classical and popular local and international Christmas favourites. I Dream a World begins tomorrow at 7.30 pm and ends on Sunday with a matinée at 5 pm.

Proceeds from the event will go to assist charitable causes. The Marionettes have raised over $500,000 from the last 18 concerts to help communities across the country, said a media release.

The group has partnered with churches and the Living Water Community in its outreach efforts. This year’s contribution will be for hurricane relief efforts in Barbuda and Dominica, the release said.

The Marionettes will also partner with title sponsor bpTT to host the traditional special matinée. Regional president of bpTT Norman Christie said in the release, “The highlight of the Marionettes Christmas concert series for me each year is the opportunity presented to my family to join in working with my fellow employees and other volunteers in hosting the special matinée performance for senior citizens and challenged children from caretaker institutions across the country.”
