Scotia Foundation awards $100,000 in bursaries

The Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Foundation recently presented ten undergraduate students of the University of the West Indies, St Augustine campus with bursaries. This forms part of a partnership with the University of the West Indies, since 2000.

Each academic year, 1st and 2nd year students from the Faculties of Social Sciences, Science and Agriculture and Natural Sciences submit their applications to the Campus Committee for Undergraduate Awards, based on their financial need and academic performance in the areas of Economics, Computer Science, Accounting and Management Studies.

The Scotiabank Foundation is committed to helping young people and communities become better off and as such invests in initiatives focused on education, empowerment and the environment.

The provision of these bursaries, helps the students to achieve their goals and ultimately lead better llives.
