Stay shut, Desalcott

THE EDITOR: During the time that the Desalination Company of TT (Desalcott) was allegedly shut down, there were no water woes. No one complained about a lack of water. It was business as usual.

It means two things: WASA’s efficiency is increasing and Desaclott is not vital but political.

A country like TT does not need a desal plant because of our average rainfall. All WASA has to do is fix its leaks. WASA’s problem is not generation but distribution.

Desalcott, stay shut down.
