Two brothers shot

Two brothers are said to be in critical condition at San Fernando General Hospital after they were shot while standing in front their home on Wednesday night. Akiel and Akeno Charles sustained gunshot wounds to their chests and underwent emergency surgery.

Police said, at about 8 pm the brothers were at Caratal Road when a car stopped in front their house and someone started shooting at them. They were taken by ambulance to the hospital. A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old Felicity man taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex after he was shot at his home on Wednesday. Police said, at about 4 am the man was asleep when he was awakened by the sound of shattering glass from a window pane. He was then shot in his chest. He was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility and transferred to hospital where he underwent surgery.
