Saints, Fatima cruise in Coca Cola Intercol

St Mary's and Fatima cruised in to the semi-final round, of the Coca Cola Intercol North Zone, after comfortable victories in their quarter-final matches yesterday.

In the opening game of a double-header, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo, St Mary’s got goals from Tyrese Spicer, Devon Charles and Michel Poon Angeron as they ousted East Mucurapo 3-1.

And Fatima booked their spot in the last four after whipping Malick 3-0. Mikhail McComie, Jaen-Hein McPhie and Joshua Araujo-Wilson all got their names on the scoresheet.

In the Central Zone, Gasparillo needed kicks from the penalty spot to defeat Cunupia 3-2 at the Carapichaima East Ground, after the scores were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Penalty kicks were also required in a Tobago Zone quarter-final match at Bon Accord, between Bishop’s High and Roxborough. Bishop’s High prevailed 4-2 in the shoot-out, after a 1-1 score at full-time.

Yesterday’s other scheduled game in the Tobago Zone, between Signal Hill and Scarborough, was rescheduled to today. However, it will take place at Black Rock, from 3.40 pm.

Also on today’s agenda will be a double-header in the South Zone, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella. St Benedict’s will oppose La Romain at 1.30 pm while Naparima will square off against Pleasantville two hours later.
