Guns, drugs found in Couva, PoS

Two guns and a quantity of drugs were found and seized by police during exercises conducted on Monday. In Couva, a man was arrested after police found him in possession of a quantity of cocaine and a gun.

Police executed a search warrant at the Stephen Street, Couva home of a 38-year-old man. They found a Glock pistol with a magazine containing 15 rounds of 9 mm ammunition. In one of the man’s pockets, police also found 45 grammes of cocaine . In Port of Spain, police found a Smith and Wesson revolver when came across three men standing at the corner of Monsegue and Quarry Street, East Dry River. When the men saw the police they ran and although the men were not held, police found a plastic bag where the men were standing. While searching the bag a revolver was found.
