Presentation San Fernando stayed within touching distance of the top two, St Anthony’s and Naparima, after trouncing Trinity East 6-0 in a rescheduled Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Premier Division match at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella yesterday.

With that result, Presentation San Fernando have gained 29 points from 13 games, behind the pair of St Anthony’s and Naparima, who each have tallied 30 points from 13 games.

The top three will all be in action tomorrow, when the 2017 Premier Division title will be decided.

St Anthony’s will be away to St Mary’s, Naps will entertain Trinity Moka, and Pres Sando will be visiting Fatima.

At Marabella, Pres Sando were rewarded with two goals apiece from Ackeel Jacob (22nd and 87th minutes) and Darnell Hospedales (33rd and 38th), while Omri Baird (32nd) and Jaye Shephard (74th) contributed one goal each.

In another rescheduled game yesterday, Trinity Moka pipped Signal Hill 1-0 at Canaan/Bon Accord, courtesy of an 18th minute goal from Keshaun St Rose.

Trinity Moka are on 13th spot with 11 points, and will need to defeat Naps tomorrow and hope that St Benedict’s lose to dethroned champs Shiva Boys in order to avoid joining Signal Hill and Speyside as the 2017 relegated teams.
