Attorney Gerald Ramdeen yesterday spent close to five hours being questioned by three members of the Professional Standards Bureau who are investigating allegations levelled against Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi who is being accused of misbehaviour in public office. Ramdeen, a United National Congress senator, provided a statement after being interviewed at his Woodbrook office.

The interview ended shortly after 4.30 pm yesterday. Al-Rawi is yet to be interviewed by the team.

In 2016 process server Mark Adams went to the Port of Spain CID and reported to Inspector Harvey Jawahir that he was contracted by Al-Rawi to plant a bug in Ramdeen’s office.

Adams was interviewed twice two weeks ago by Sgt Tricia Smith and a team of officers.

Three weeks ago the investigation was transferred from the Port-of-Spain CID and given to Assistant Commissioner of Police Harikreshen Baldeo who assigned Sergeant Tricia Smith and other police to interview Adams.
