‘Pres’ tackle Trinity East in SSFL race

Presentation College, San Fernando will need a win to keep their chances alive of claiming the Premier Division title in the 2017 Secondary Schools Football League when the penultimate match day takes place from 3.40 pm, today.

Third-placed Presentation are four points behind joint leaders St Anthony’s College and Naparima College. Presentation have two matches remaining, while St Anthony’s and Naparima only have one match left. Presentation will aim for three points against seventh placed Trinity College East at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium today. Presentation will need to win their remaining matches and hope both St Anthony’s and Naparima fail to get victories on Saturday’s final match day.

In the other fixture today, Trinity College will be desperate for a win as they aim to avoid relegation. Trinity, now in 14th position on the 15-team table, will tackle 13th placed Signal Hill Secondary at Signal Hill. Signal Hill have only match remaining and will play in the championship division next season.
