Cricket fans will get an opportunity to contribute to development of zonal cricket while supporting the Red Force when the Regional Four-Day Tournament rolls into the Brian Lara Cricket Academy at Tarouba tomorrow.
Fans will benefit from a useful saving off the regular $30 daily entrance fee for the Brian Lara Academy when they purchase a pre-paid ticket costing just $100, which allows the purchaser to be accompanied by four others on any match-day.
The purchaser can attend on any day of the match by himself, or can be accompanied by up to four friends or family members on any day over the course of the triple-header (Jamaica Scorpions, Guyana Jaguars), Barbados Pride) in which the Red Force play host in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) four-day league.
Baldath Mahabir, a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) Marketing Committee, said children Under-12 years of age will also be allowed free to the matches.
He said that all proceeds from the initiative will go towards cricket development in South Zone, South-East, and South-West Zones.
Mahabir said the pre-paid $100 tickets are available from leading members of the three zones of the TTCB and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis as demand is expected to be great.
Tomorrow, the Red Force play their first home fixture in the 2017-2018 season against the Jamaica Scorpions; then tackle defending champions Guyana Jaguars in a day-night match from November 2 to 5; and play their final Brian Lara Academy game against the Barbados Pride from December 14 to 17.
Tickets are also available at the TTCB Office in Balmain, and will be also sold on match-days at the Lara Academy. Further information is also available by calling 375-4711 or 742-6918.
