A 65-year-old Orangefield man who was abducted five years ago but managed to escape has been reported missing and relatives believe he was targeted for his car.

Darryl Sookdeo told Newsday his father Indarjit Sookdeo was last seen at 2 pm on Saturday when he came to his home to visit.

According to Darryl, his father was last seen in the Felicity area and when his father failed to return home, calls were made to his cell phone but there were no answer.

At 9.15 pm on Sunday a missing persons report was made to the Chaguanas police. Five years ago, Sookdeo was abducted and his car stolen. He was taken to the San Rafael area but managed to escape and made his way to the San Rafael police station. That car was never recovered.
