Jangoo cracks 150 in Red Force practice match

Amir Jangoo struck a century for the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in a practice match at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, on Saturday.

Facing a TT Rest XI, opening batsman Jangoo struck 25 fours in his knock of 150 off 168 deliveries to guide Red Force to 320 for five. Ewart Nicholson, batting at number four, slammed 73 off 119 balls with eight fours and two sixes.

Also among the runs was Red Force captain Denesh Ramdin who contributed 38, while Tion Webster and Roshon Primus ended on 33 not out and 11 not out respectively.

Bowling for the Rest XI fast bowler Anderson Phillip took three for 51 in 16 overs, while Shaaron Lewis (1/26) and Ricky Jaipaul (1/67) took one wicket apiece.

The Red Force will open the 2017/2018 Cricket West Indies Regional Four-Day tournament against Barbados at Kensington Oval on Thursday.
