Two of the three friends who were killed in a crash on Sunday afternoon were cremated side by side at Mosquito Creek yesterday.

Sunil Sookdeo, 18, and Levi Seegobin, 21, died when the car they were in crashed into a stream at Woodland, near La Romaine.

Yesterday, separate funeral services were held for Sookdeo at Gandhi Village, Debe, and for Seegobin at Ramai Trace, at their respective homes.

The funeral for Nicholas Mano, 22, was also held yesterday at his home at SS Erin Road, Debe, after which he was buried at the Lalbeharry Trace cemetery a short distance away. Their funerals were held under Presbyterian rites.

The three left their homes on Saturday night to lime and were returning home at about 2 pm through the Woodland area when the car ran off the road and plunged into a stream near Rahamut Trace. They were killed on the spot. An autopsy concluded they died as a result of drowning.
