Carr-Sealy back home

Joslynne Carr-Sealy who was warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital last week is back home.

The well known singer, vocal coach, and calypso and steelband competition judge was in dire need of 10 pints of blood.

She said after the Newsday story was published last week she got a lot of donors and visitors that filled her heart with joy.

She said: “Young people not so healthy you know. A lot of my family couldn’t give blood but I eventually got four pints, thus raising my level to 10. And with no pain, I was sent home.”

Carr-Sealy now has a care-giver staying with her but will be back in the hospital on Friday to have a colonoscopy done. She said that is to find out the reason for her heavy bleeding. But nevertheless she says she is in vary high spirits.

She said: “I was to thank Newsday for the exposure. I got a lot of visitors after that. One of them was Quilan la Borde who came and prayed with me and left me a chaplet.”

Carr-Sealy remains optimistic that her condition is just temporary though she admits she has to be careful with her movements.
