Bullet-riddled body found in Laventille

The bullet-riddled body of an unidentifed man was discovered behind the Success Laventille Secondary School shortly after 4 am Saturday. Residents of the area said they were alerted to loud explosions and upon checking saw the bullet-riddled body of the man who was also shot to the back of the head and neck lying in a pool of blood. Officers of the Besson Street Police Station were alerted and they along with a district medical officer went to the scene ordered the removal of the body to the Forensic Science Centre. No ID was found on the victim’s body. However fingerprints were taken in an effort to ascertain whether he had a criminal record.
