Windies Women skipper Taylor warms up for Sri Lanka test

STtafanie Taylor struck an unbeaten 51 for the West Indies Women in a practice match against the Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 boys team at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BLCA) in Tarouba, yesterday.

Taylor's unbeaten innings guided West Indies Women to 180/9 in 45.1 overs. Kycia Knight and Merissa Aguilleira scored 25 and 22 respectively. Bowling for TT, Shaaron Lewis took 2/17 in three overs and Sameer Ali grabbed 2/39 in 8.1 overs.

In reply, Crystian Thurton raced to an unbeaten 80 and Leonardo Julien scored 26 not out as TT got to 108 without loss in 18.1 overs when rain ended play.

The West Indies Women are preparing for a three-match One Day International series against Sri Lanka Women at the BLCA. The matches will be played on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
