State owned Caribbean Airlines (CAL) and the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) will both have higher expenditure allocations for fiscal 2018. This information is contained in the 2018 Draft Estimates of Recurrent Expenditure which was laid in the House of Representatives. The allocation for CAL, which falls under the Finance Ministry, was increased from $35,043,800 in 2017, to $37,047,090 in 2018.
Expenditure for the FIU was increased from $4,506,020 last year to $6,649,000 in 2018.
The expenditure of the Office of the Supervisor of Insolvency has also increased from $1,730 to $3,455,000. Overall expenditure for the Finance Ministry has increased from $4,073,710,170 in 2017 to $5,608,309,770 in 2018.
