Police seize Beretta pistol and ammunition

Central Division officers seized a Beretta pistol and a quantity of ammunition during an anti-crime exercise, in the Enterprise, Chaguanas area on Sunday.

In a press release, the Police Service said officers of the division’s Operation Unit Officers conducted the exercise between 2 pm and 8 pm. During the exercise, they observed a man standing in a basketball court, along Postman Drive, Enterprise, with an object resembling a firearm in his possession. Upon seeing the officers, the man dropped the object and ran off. During a search of the area, officers found the black and chrome pistol, fitted with a magazine, containing four rounds of 9 mm ammunition. No arrests were made in connection with the find.
