Teen girl still in custody after killing mom and stabbing daughter

The 17-year-old girl who was, on Monday night, held by police after she allegedly stabbed 44-year-old Tabatha Richards to death, remained in police custody up to late yesterday.

The teenager was held after a fracas broke out between herself, Richards and her (Richards’) daughter at Sixth Avenue, Malick.

Richards’ 18-year-old daughter, Missy, who was stabbed during the fight, is said to be in a serious condition at hospital.

According to reports, the fight broke out at about midnight on Monday. Richards was outside her home with Missy when the two teenagers got into an argument.

The argument turned into a fight and the 17-year-old suspect stabbed Missy several times. Richards tried to intervene but was herself stabbed by the teenager and died.
