Suspected bandit shot dead in Arima

A man was shot and killed in Arima after a robbery on Thursday evening. He is said to be one of three who robbed a business place on Prince Street, near to the Magistrates’ Court. According to reports, the men entered the business which operates a roulette machine and announced a holdup. They robbed a number of patrons and were leaving the premises when someone with a licenced firearm pursued and fired at them. One of them was hit and died on the spot.

Police retrieved a gun which laid on the side of the road near the man’s body, and are continuing investigations.
