CAL cancels 20+ flights in wake of Hurricane Irma

Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has been forced to cancel more flights again because of Hurricane Irma. The Category Five Hurricane was set to hit Antigua yesterday evening. On Monday CAL cancelled to flights that had been scheduled for St Maarten from Trinidad and Jamaica.

The following flights for September 8 and 9 have been cancelled:

September 8

BW414 -- Kingston to Nassau

BW415 -- Nassau to Kingston

BW031 --Nassau to Fort Lauderdale

BW030 -- Fort Lauderdale to Montego Bay

BW039 -- Montego Bay to Fort Lauderdale

BW036 -- Fort Lauderdale to Kingston

BW484 -- Port-of-Spain to Miami

BW483 --Miami to Port-of-Spain

BW480 -- Port-of-Spain to Fort Lauderdale

BW481 -- Fort Lauderdale to Port-of-Spain

BW482 -- Port-of-Spain to Orlando

BW485 -- Orlando to Port-of-Spain

For September 9

BW031 -- Kingston to Fort Lauderdale

BW030 -- Fort Lauderdale to Montego Bay

BW039 -- Montego Bay to Fort Lauderdale

BW036 -- Fort Lauderdale to Kingston

BW484 -- Port-of-Spain to Miami

BW483 -- Miami to Port-of-Spain

BW480 -- Port-of-Spain to Fort Lauderdale

BW481 -- Fort Lauderdale to Port-of-Spain

Again affected passengers travelling on September 8 and 9 would be permitted to change or cancel their reservations without penalty subject to the following conditions:

Passengers must have a confirmed ticket issued before September 8 and 9, and those who chose to have their ticket refunded must do so before September 17. Passengers who chose to change their reservations must complete their travel by September 17 unless travelling on this booking was after the original date., and travel must be in the same cabin as original.

CAL also stated that it would not be responsible for arrangements or transportation to or from an alternate airport or hotel/overnight expenses incurred by affected passengers.
