Two of the three men who were shot on Besson Street in Port of Spain while working on a wall on Friday afternoon have been released from Port of Spain General Hospital.

A third man is still at the hospital being treated for gunshot wounds, but it is believed that he will soon recover, and will also be discharged.

For their protection, the names of the three men are being withheld by police.

Police officers were told that they were working on the wall, at the St Paul Recreation Round, located on Besson Street, Port of Spain when, out of nowhere, they were approached by gunmen and shot multiple times.

The gunmen then escaped as the trio lay on the ground bleeding.
