Matelot man shot at bar


A 37-year-old Matelot man was shot while liming at a bar in the area on Saturday night. According to reports Kwame Charles, was liming at the bar when he saw a man from the area whom he had previous altercations with.

The man reportedly took out a gun from his waist and shot Charles twice, in full view of other patrons.

The gunman then fled the scene and Charles was taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital where he is warded in a serious but stable condition.

Officers of the Matelot Police station are investigating.
