Drugs, ammunition found in stolen car

A stolen vehicle was recovered yesterday by Northern Division police officers, but when they found the car, it had a quantity of marijuana, ammunition and a firearm.

According to police, officers conducted an exercise between 5 pm on Tuesday and 1 am on Wednesday, after they received information indicating illegal activity was taking place.

They went to Mahabir Courts in Morvant, where a white Hyundai Voxy seven-seater car was found. When police searched further, they found a Colt revolver, with three rounds of ammunition and 72 grammes of marijuana.

No one was arrested in connection with the find.
