PSC awards contract to KPMG to select a Commissioner of Police

The Police Service Commission says it has moved a step closer in its task to recruit and select a Commissioner of Police and Deputy Commissioners of Police for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS).

In a release, the Commission said it has awarded a contract to KPMG Trinidad and Tobago to assist with the recruitment and selection process.

On July 20, a meeting was held at the Commission’s office where its representatives met with KPMG officials to discuss implementation of the project.

The Commission said the recruitment phase of the project is expected to take four months to complete with the firm providing support to the Commission in designing and managing the advertising, application and

assessment processes.

“So as to ensure that the TTPS has the leadership it requires to meet the needs of the organization and to satisfy the requirements of safety and security for all of Trinidad and Tobago now and into the future,” the Commission said.
