CAMERON MURDER

Police are trying to find a motive behind the shooting death of a 23-year-old man from Majuba Cross Road, who was killed on Cameron Road last night.

The man has been identified as Terry Alleyne.

Police reports say Allen and his girlfriend were sitting in his Nissan B14 at about 10.30 on Cameron Road when a gunman approached the vehicle and shot both Allen and his girlfriend.

Allen was shot six times on his right side, while his girlfriend was shot once in the stomach.

The gunman stole the girlfriend’s cell phone before escaping.

They were both taken to hospital where Allen was pronounced dead on arrival.

His girlfriend was treated for her gunshot wound and is said to be resting comfortably.

Relatives at the Forensic Science Centre in St James were just as baffled as police were, as to the motive of the shooting. They said that Allen and his girlfriend had parked the car, just after dropping off some children from a birthday party that they all attended.

“The area where he was shot was dangerous,” said one family member “he was a very loving and well loved person. Everyone in the area would be calling his name.”

Relatives told Newsday Allen was the owner of a Car wash business, and the last of five children.
