A new non-governmental organisation with a focus on people with disabilities, will be launched today at the Little Carib Theatre, with a presentation by Francis Escayg and a live performance by Laura Pierre-Escayg. The event will start at 6pm.

To mark Indian Arrival 2013, the Mere Desh Committee will be hosting two major competitions for whistlers and watermelon carvers. The competitions are to mark the 168th anniversary of the arrival of East Indian to Trinidad and Tobago and will be held on May 30 at the Centre Pointe Mall Chaguanas from 1pm.
